Makes me want a fireplace again. How long did it take to craft/carve? Also what woods did you use to make this wonderful piece?
It took some time, a couple of months, usually working 1-2 hr a day.
The wood is spruce, but it's certainly not the best for that (just the cheapest...) It's a bit too soft.
Btw, that was my first carving, I'll do more soon.
